SAO PAULO, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Midfielder Pedrinho struck a superb second-half goal as Corinthians booked a place in the Copa do Brasil final with a 2-1 home victory over Flamengo on Wednesday.
The result gave Corinthians a 2-1 aggregate win following a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Rio de Janeiro.
The Sao Paulo outfit will meet defending champions Cruzeiro in the final after the Belo Horizonte side drew 1-1 with Palmeiras in Wednesday's other semifinal second leg to clinch a 2-1 aggregate victory.
Danilo Avelar gave Corinthians the lead in the 14th minute when he volleyed in at the far post after Jadson's sublime lofted pass.
Corinthians' defender Henrique gifted Flamengo an equalizer shortly after by turning the ball into his own net.
However, Pedrinho restored his team's lead by cutting onto his left foot and lashing a 25-yard shot into the bottom left corner of Diego Alves' goal.
