ASUNCION, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Paraguay will play an international friendly against Jordan next month, the South American country's football association said on Friday.
The clash will be held in Jordan's capital Amman on September 10, five days after Paraguay's previously announced friendly against Japan in Kashima.
They will be Paraguay's first outings since the penalty shootout defeat to Brazil in the Copa America quarterfinals in June.
Paraguay head coach Eduardo Berizzo has said he will use the team's remaining six friendlies this year to prepare for the South American zone World Cup qualifiers, which begin next March.
Paraguay are currently 39th in the FIFA world rankings while Jordan are 99th and Japan 33rd.
