Iran's military plane crashes on southern coast, pilots survive

TEHRAN, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- An Iranian military plane on Sunday crashed on the Tangestan coast of the southern province of Bushehr, official IRNA news agency reported.

Both the pilot and co-pilot were rescued, Abdolhossein Rafiei, governor of Bushehr Province, was quoted as saying.

The technical failure was the cause of incident, he added, without specifying the type of plane.
