RABAT, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- The 13th International Festival of Children of Peace closed Thursday in Morocco, with 14 Chinese young actors participating in the festival.
During the festival opened on July 24, 14 Chinese young actors selected by the China Association for Promoting Children's Culture and Art presented Chinese traditional musical instruments.
Chen Dongyun, cultural counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Morocco, said that the participation of Chinese young actors in the festival shows the continuous inheritance and development of Chinese traditional culture and serves as a good opportunity for Chinese teenagers to show their talents abroad.
She hoped more young people will go to the international arena in the future, interact with the children of the world, and enhance mutual understandings.
The festival was hosted by the Moroccan Ministry of Culture and Communication. Nearly 650 young actors from more than 30 countries were invited to perform in Rabat, Casablanca, Sale and Temara.
