Sudan's military council urges opposition to resume talks immediately

KHARTOUM, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Military Council (TMC) Abdel-Fatah Al-Burhan on Wednesday urged the opposition forces to resume negotiations immediately.

"We call on the opposition Freedom and Change Alliance to resume the negotiations before Thursday," said Al-Burhan during an address to the medical workers in the capital Khartoum.

He welcomed an open an all-inclusive dialogue to reach a consensual solution.

The TMC is tasked with running Sudan's affairs after the ouster of former President Omar al-Bashir on April 11.
