CHARIKAR, Afghanistan, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Units of national army targeted Taliban hideouts and have destroyed the group's major weapon cache in Bagram district of Parwan province on Wednesday, said an army statement released here Thursday.
During the operations, the forces, besides destroying the weapon cache also smashed the militants hideouts and tunnels used in conducting subversive activities.
Taliban militants haven't commented.
Bagram district 50 km north of Kabul has been housing main military base of the U.S. forces in Afghanistan.
Taliban militants just weeks ago fired rockets on the U.S. military base in Bagram and also launched a suicide attack, killing four Americans including three service members and a contractor on April 8 outside the base.
