FARAH, Afghanistan, April 16 (Xinhua) -- A police constable shot dead four of his colleagues in the western Farah province Monday night and fled away, an official said on the condition of anonymity on Tuesday.
Confirming the incident, head of provincial council, Shah Mahmoud Naemi told Xinhua that the bloody insider attack occurred in a checkpoint inside the provincial capital Farah city late Monday night and the perpetrator joined the Taliban insurgents after committing the crime.
Police have yet to make a comment.
