JALALABAD, Afghanistan, March 28 (Xinhua) -- At least five militants loyal to the Islamic State (IS) group were killed as an unmanned plane targeted the militants' hideouts in the eastern Nangarhar province, said an army statement released here Thursday.
The air raids were launched against IS militants in Achin district's Bagh-e-Dari and Bandar areas of the province on Wednesday, killing five militants on the spot, the statement said.
Air operations would continue until the area is cleared of militants, the statement added.
IS outfit has yet to make comment.
