ULAN BATOR, Feb.26 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia will send 16 student athletes to the upcoming 29th Winter University Games in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, the Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sport said Tuesday.
The athletes will compete in five sports, namely ski orienteering, figure skating, short track speed skating, cross-country skiing and freestyle skiing during the Winter Universiade, which takes place from March 2-12, the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, 10 officials from Mongolia, including six coaches, will feature at the Winter Universiade, according to the ministry.
The Winter Universiade is held every two years. The Mongolian delegation has now competed 14 times in the tournament.
