ULAN BATOR, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Bilateral trade between Mongolia and Belarus reached 16 million U.S. dollars in 2018, up 22 percent from the previous year, a senior official of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said Tuesday.
Dubova Yaroslavovna, deputy general director for Foreign Economic Activity of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, shared the data at a business meeting between Mongolia and Belarus in Ulan Bator.
Yaroslavovna called for further efforts from both countries to increase the bilateral trade volume.
"The two countries have great potential to increase bilateral trade volume by intensifying cooperation in areas, including mining, agriculture and transportation," she said.
Relations between Mongolia and Belarus have been friendly since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992.
