PUL-E-ALAM, Afghanistan, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- A total of eight militants were confirmed dead after fighting aircraft struck a Taliban hideout in Mohammad Agha district of eastern Logar province on Monday, provincial police spokesman Shahpor Ahmadzai said Tuesday.
The air attacks, according to the official, were launched late Monday night, killing eight insurgents on the spot and wounding several others.
Taliban militants are yet to make comment on the report.
