PUL-E-ALAM, Afghanistan, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Up to six Afghan commuters including women and children have been confirmed dead and seven others injured including women and children in a road accident that occurred outside eastern Logar province's capital Pul-e-Alam on Saturday, provincial government spokesman Shahpor Ahmadzai said.
The deadly accident, according to the official, took place on a road in Tiri Kando area when a mini-bus collided with a car coming from opposite direction leaving six commuters dead and injuring seven others.
Blaming reckless driving for the accident, the official said that investigation is underway. However, he didn't say if the drivers were among the victims.
