Pu'er Marathon to be held at end of year in China's Yunnan

KUNMING, Dec.6 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Pu'er Marathon will be held on Dec. 31 in Pu'er city, known as 'the hometown of Pu'er tea' in China, according to the local organizing committee.

In addition to a full marathon, the Pu'er Marathon includes a half marathon, 10km fitness races and 4.2 km family mini-marathon.

About 2000 participants have registered to take part in the 21.09 km half marathon, along with 1,500 participants for the 42.2 km marathon.

The Pu'er Marathon is certified by Chinese Athletic Association (CAA), and the design inspiration of the medal is derived from Pu'er tea.
