ISLAMABAD, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Police in Pakistan's northwest Mardan district on Wednesday arrested 25 miscreants, recovering arms, ammunition and narcotics from their custody, local reports said.
A heavy contingent of the law enforcers conducted operation in some suspected areas of the district, following public complaint of surge in crimes, the Independent News Pakistan reported.
Police said that the arrested miscreants, including drug peddlers and street criminals, have been shifted to a local police station for further probe.
Identities of the criminals have not been revealed yet.
