SEOUL, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Hyundai Motor, South Korea's biggest automaker, on Tuesday unveiled its new flagship luxury sedan, G90, under its independent Genesis brand.

The G90 was a faced-lifted version of EQ900, which was launched in 2015 as a successor to Hyundai's Equus sedan, the company said in a statement.

It came with three models of 3.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, 3.8-liter gasoline engine and 5.0-liter gasoline engine. The price ranged from 77 million won (68,000 U.S. dollars) to 119 million won (105,000 U.S. dollars).

For the past 11 days, Hyundai received 6,713 preorders for the new sedan.

Hyundai planned to ship the G90 to overseas markets, including the United States, Canada, Russia and the Middle East, from the first half of next year.

The company said it aimed to build its Genesis lineup, currently composed of G90, G80 and G70, by adding three SUV models by 2021.
