TASHKENT, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed in a road accident after a car lost control and collided with another in northwestern Uzbekistan Monday morning, the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations said Tuesday.
The accident took place around 8:05 a.m. local time (0305 GMT) on Monday in Karakalpakstan, and five other people were also hurt in the car accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
