FARAH, Afghanistan, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- A total of 14 people have been confirmed dead and 29 others injured as a passenger bus collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction in the western Farah province on Friday, provincial police spokesman Mohibullah Mohib said.
The deadly traffic accident, according to the official took place in Bakwa district when a Kabul-bound passenger bus collided with a long-vehicle truck coming from opposite direction at 04:30 a.m. local time, leaving 14 passengers including women and children dead and injuring 29 others, some in critical conditions.
The official, however, blamed reckless driving and congested road for the deadly accident, saying investigation is underway.
