LA PAZ, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Three bodies have been recovered from the wreckage of a light aircraft in Bolivia's eastern Amazon region, said Cristhian Camara, department director of the Emergency Operations Center (COE), on Saturday.
"Rescuers searched for the crew of the airplane, which was damaged on Friday, for four hours," Camara told a local radio station.
"Close to midnight, we came across the lifeless bodies of the three crew," added the director.
State government of the northern department of Beni confirmed on Saturday that they had transported the bodies to department capital, Trinidad.
Local rescuers believed the light aircraft crashed around 10 minutes after taking off from Trinidad's Jorge Henrich airport.
The flight was heading to Santa Rosa del Yacuma, around 220 kilometers northwest of Trinidad with the three people on board.
Once legal proceedings have been completed, the bodies of the deceased will be handed to their families, Camara added.?
