SINGAPORE, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) went down 0.27 percent or 8.75 points to close at 3,234.12.
A total of 1.45 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.14 billion Singapore dollars (about 829.37 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 237 to 184.
The STI index closed down 0.08 percent or 2.47 points to close at 3,242.87 Tuesday. Enditem
