BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese carmaker Geely saw sales surge in both domestic and overseas markets in July, the company announced Monday.
Total sales volume of Geely Automobile Holdings Limited stood at 120,277 units in July, up 32 percent from the same period last year, the company said in a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Month on month, sales volume was down about 6 percent.
Geely's exports jumped around 146 percent year on year to 2,502 units in July, while sales volume in the domestic market hit 117,775 units, up 31 percent from a year earlier.
In the first seven months, Geely sold 886,907 cars, an increase of 43 percent year on year. It aims to sell 1.58 million units in 2018.
The numbers are unaudited and may be subject to adjustments and final confirmation, it said.
Geely said in an earlier statement that it is expected to record a 50-percent rise year on year in net profits for the first half of 2018, thanks to an increase in sales revenue.
