DHAKA, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh expects more cooperation with China to develop more economic zones and high tech parks in the country.
Top government officials, among others, at a workshop on Thursday in capital Dhaka, expressed such expectation, saying China's extraordinary economic development in decades of reform and opening-up is a quite good experience to learn from.
They said the workshop on "Development and Cooperation of Bangladesh Economic Zones and High-tech Parks" paved the way for them to understand further the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative, China's experience on planning, construction and management of economic zones and industrial parks, and practice of liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment, regional cooperation in trade and investment facilitation.
The Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh organized the workshop attended by dozens of senior Bangladeshi government officials who on several occasions participated in workshop or similar programs in China.
Workshop participating officials who had earlier attended training programs in China shared their training experiences and comments.
They discussed about Bangladesh economic zones and hi-tech parks, and trade and investment conditions and environment and put forward proposals of deepening cooperation in economic zones and expanding trade and investment between China and Bangladesh.
