BERLIN, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Borussia Dortmund have signed goalkeeper Eric Oelschlaegel from Werder Bremen second team, the "BVB" confirmed in an official statement on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a deal until June 2019 and will be gaining practise in Dortmund's second team. Besides, he will be the third goalkeeper behind Roman Buerki and Marwin Hitz.
The new arrival was part of Germany's national team that win won the Silver Medal in the Summer Olympic Games in 2016.
In the last three years with Bremen's Under-23 team, he made overall 67 appearances in the third division.
Borussia Dortmund completed the Bundesliga season 2017-2018 on the 4th place of the standings. Hence, the booked their berth for next season's UEFA Champions League group stage.
