TEHRAN, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Iranian president said on Monday that there is no limit for development of ties between Tehran and Doha, official IRNA news agency reported.
The Islamic Republic will continue supports to Qatar and Tehran will keep standing by Doha over regional issues, President Hassan Rouhani said during a phone conversation with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Rouhani criticized some countries' siege on Qatar and described it as "unfair and divisive."
De-escalation of tensions in the region is Iran's policy, Rouhani said, noting that stability is to the interest of all regional nations.
Referring to ongoing crises in Palestine, Syria and Yemen, he said that "'certain countries' adventurist policies would exacerbate the situation in the region."
Rouhani also called for Muslims' collective support for the Palestinian people, in particular, the people in Gaza.
