FRANKFURT, May 24 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 121.75 points, or 0.94 percent, to close at 12,855.09 points.
Commerzbank lost the most among the blue chips, down by 5.82 percent, followed by Deutsche Bank and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, which lost 4.41 percent and 3.15 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical firm Linde, semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and software corporation SAP were the top three winners, rising 1.51 percent, 1.06 percent and 0.34 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 446.10 million euros (523.18 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
