BUENOS AIRES, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Godoy Cruz moved level on points with leaders Boca Juniors after a 2-1 away victory over Argentinos Juniors in the Superliga Argentina on Saturday.
Leonardo Pisculichi opened the scoring for the hosts in the 10th minute before Santiago Garcia struck either side of halftime at the Diego Maradona stadium in Buenos Aires.
The result left Godoy Cruz on 53 points with 16 wins and five draws from 26 matches, behind Boca only on goal difference. However Guillermo Barros Schelotto's side have two games in hand and could restore their three-point lead on Sunday when they host Union Santa Fe.
Meanwhile, Arsenal de Sarandi revived their slim hopes of avoiding relegation by routing Rosario Central 4-0. Despite the result, Arsenal remain second last in the standings with just one round remaining.
In other matches on Saturday, Newell's Old Boys beat Defensa y Justicia 1-0 and Huracan held Talleres to a goalless draw in Cordoba.
