NAIROBI, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Dylan Kerr, coach of Kenya's Premier League champions Gor Mahia, will bank on his solid defence and strong striking force to cruise past hosts SuperSport United in the return leg of their CAF Confederations Cup tie in South Africa on Wednesday.

The Kenyan Premier League champs left for Pretoria on Monday confident of going past SuperSport and making the group stages of the Confederations Cup.

"We have shown great work rate since we lost to Esperance of Tunisia in the Champions League. The team has good attitude and we carry that positive attitude to Pretoria," Kerr said in Nairobi.

Gor will have a light training session on Monday and Tuesday before taking on SuperSport united, who have had terrible season.

However, coach Kerr is not focusing on their host's problems but wants his strikers to score the critical away goal to add to their 1-0 advantage earned in Machakos a week ago.

The coach also announced that his team has been boosted by return to form of striker Ephraim Guikan, and Kerr would love to include the bulky attacker in his starting line-up.

Ugandan defender Godfrey Walusimbi remains absent after a pay disagreement with the club while Karim Nazigimana nears a return to action after a long injury lay off.

While Gor Mahia's domestic league match against Kakamega Homeboyz was postponed to give the team time to prepare for the return leg, SuperSport United had to fight it out in a frustrating goalless draw against Masoud Juma's Cape Town City in an ABSA Premiership match on Saturday.

SuperSport United are in turbulent waters and have not won any of their last five matches.

This leaves the club, who reached the CAF Confederations Cup final last season, perched two points above relegation in the ABSA Premiership.
