RABAT, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's Wydad Casablanca claimed on Saturday the CAF Super Cup, after defeating Congolese TP Mazembe 1-0 in the Moroccan city of Casablanca.
In Mohammed V Stadium, the African Champions League holders dominated Mazembe, who claimed CAF Confederation Cup last November.
Wydad's Walid El Karti missed a penalty kick at the 55th minute, before Amine Tigazoui scored the precious goal at the 83rd minute from a brilliant free-kick.
This was Wydad's first CAF Super Cup, while rival TP Mazembe are three-time winners.
After this tittle Wydad Casablanca have earned 100,000 U.S. dollars, whereas TP Mazembe pocket 75,000 U.S. dollars.
