Chinese shares close lower at midday

BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices closed lower in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.41 percent to end at 3,432.82 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.01 percent to end at 10,863.79 points.
