TIRANA, April 12 (Xinhua) -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU) will invest 40 million euro (49.3 million U.S. dollars) for the development of tourism in Albania, local media reported Thursday.
During a meeting with business representatives from tourism sector, the head of the EU Delegation in Albania Romana Vlahutin confirmed that along with EBRD, the EU will support financially small and medium-sized enterprises in tourism sector.
Albanian Minister of Tourism and Environment Blendi Klosi underlined that the tourism development projects will be extended to four main points such as the capital city Tirana, the Alps, the Adriatic Coast Marina and the South.
