ISLAMABAD, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistani security forces arrested 11 militants during multiple operations conducted in southwestern Balochistan province on Tuesday, the military said.
An army statement said that paramilitary frontier corps carried out intelligence-based operations in Surkhab, Kanak Valley and near Moro River areas of the province.
The paramilitary frontier corps also recovered arms and ammunition from the possession of the arrested suspects, including explosives, mines, detonators and fuses, mobile SIM cards and communication equipment, a statement from the army's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations said.
The operations were part of the ongoing operation "Raddul Fassad" in Balochistan province, a military offensive against the "latent threat of terrorism" across the country, which was launched in February 2017.
